Step 3: Verify If a Valid Certificate Already Exists

Check the official BIS CRS portal for registered manufacturers. Use the BIS Care app to verify certification authenticity. Many sellers discover their OEM has a certificate | but for a different brand, model, or factory location.

Step 4: Match 5 Fields Line by Line

For urgent recovery, switching to an already-certified factory is often faster than pushing an unprepared factory through new certification. This applies especially to foreign-manufacturer FMCS products where timelines stretch to months.

How to Submit BIS Documents to Amazon

Amazon has two compliance doors. Check both:

• Path 1 | Account Health: Go to Performance → Account Health → Product Policy Compliance → find the issue → click Submit for the affected product. Upload BIS certificate, test report, and packaging photos.
• Path 2 | Manage Your Compliance (MYC): If the product doesn't appear in Account Health, go to MYC dashboard. Upload and manage compliance documents individually or via bulk upload.
• Amazon says all documents must be authentic and in original/unmodified format. Expect a response within 24-48 hours for a clean submission.

The Document Pack That Works

Include: BIS certificate or registration, exact ASIN and seller SKU, manufacturer name and factory address, brand and model mapping, and clear photos of packaging/product showing the BIS mark/number. If the problem was a mismatched supplier document, say that clearly and explain the correction.

Can You Sell Without BIS on Other Platforms?

No. The BIS Act prohibits manufacture, import, distribution, sale, storage, or exhibition for sale | regardless of the sales channel.
